# Changelog

> Product updates to the Monterey External API.

**November 6, 2026**

## New features

* **Bank account (ACH) payment methods.** Store a borrower's checking or savings account with `POST /v1/payment-methods/bank`. Monterey verifies the account before saving it. Availability is environment-specific; until Monterey enables it for your environment, the endpoint returns `503 bank_capture_unavailable`. ## Updates

* **Verification status on payment methods.** Payment method responses now include `validation_status`. Bank accounts show `validated` or `pending_giact`. Other payment methods return `null`.
* **Account ownership.** Account responses now include `ownership`. `mfs` means Monterey owns the account. `org` means your organization owns it and Monterey services it. `portfolio_code` gives the underlying portfolio. * **Autopay summary on accounts.** Account responses now include an `autopay` summary with `status`, `method`, `next_run_at`, and `last_payment_at`. It is `null` only when the account has no schedule on file. Check `autopay.status` to confirm enrollment, because paused and cancelled schedules still appear. * **More account fields.** [List accounts](https://docs.montereyfinancial.com/api-reference/accounts/list-accounts.md) and [Get an account](https://docs.montereyfinancial.com/api-reference/accounts/get-an-account.md) now return `client_code`, `client_name`, `status_name`, `status_category`, `amount_financed_cents`, `down_payment_amount_cents`, and `remaining_term`.
* **New support address.** Reach Monterey engineering support at `enghelp@montereyfinancial.com`.

* **New production base URL.** The External API now runs at `https://eapi.montereyfinancial.com`. Update any integration that calls `api.montereyfinancial.app`. * **New card-capture host.** The secure card-capture proxy moved to `https://secure-api.montereyfinancial.com`. Send raw card data only to this host. See [Card capture](https://docs.montereyfinancial.com/api-reference/card-capture.md).
* **Cleaner person detail.** [Person detail](https://docs.montereyfinancial.com/api-reference/persons/get-a-person.md) now returns only active contact methods and current addresses. You no longer need to filter out inactive phones, inactive emails, or past addresses.
